I got my boss a travel coffee mug and a Starbucks' gift certificate last year. He loves his Chai tea, so he really liked it. I have also gotten bath gel and lotion for one of my female bosses. A gift certificate to a restaurant is always nice, especially if there is one by your work that everyone always goes to.
You could pool your money with several people and buy your boss a nice engraved clock or something. My new boss loves sports, so I'm getting him a baseball hat this year! :)

Last year I got my Boss a coffee mug warmer to keep her coffee warm all day long.She loved it and thought it was Great that can go for a man or women.

if your boss is a woman, get her something for her office, like a santa figure or something like that. if your boss is a man, give him a gift card for a restaurant, you know guys like to eat!

Depends on what kind of work you do. But, gift certificates to a nice restraunt are always a good idea.
