That saying is retarded and whoever made that up was probably committed to an insane asylum.

Spitting fire,
Truly, THE best thing in life IS free! But of course, if you said what you said above, you are probably not a Christian, not everyone will be.
Yet that's my answer, trusting God through Jesus Christ is absolutely free. Free to the LGBT, and free to the poor, to the rich, the wise and the foolish.
If the Bible is true, then it becomes an incredible, wonderful thing, to be loved by God, and to trust Him with that.
That costs nothing, and it is liberating.

Personally, I don't believe anything in life is free, what people seem to miss is that the price might not be money. The cost of having a loving, loyal, supportive, and faithful lover is be one yourself, and that's way more than a most people these days are willing to pay.

The best things in life can't be purchased with money.
Love, true friendship, happiness, all come with a cost but it is one you don't mind paying. If you've never felt those things, you'll never know.

nothing is free. Everything has a price that you have to pay if you want it, including happiness with another person (price:freedom to do what you want whenever you choose) and knowledge (price: not staying blind to certain situations.)

I've never had to pay for sex, and that's one of my favourite things.
