I'll be travelling to Delhi to do some volunteering Public Relations (PR) work between the 10th-23rd of December 2006. I need a decent place to stay at, with good and clean (non-indian style!) toilets. I need advise on reasonable but high-standard hotels. Any advise please? Also, any contact info on who I should contact regarding this maybe? If you could give me an idea on the prices of the hotels (per night or for the whole of 2 weeks), that'll be good!

I'll be travelling from London and hence don't want to be tricked, for being a tourist! Thanks!

Do some surfing. Go to the site of India tourism development corporation. It is Govt. orgn. It it is hotel business, too. Check for Hotel janpath. You should not have any problems there. As a stand by you may also look for Imperial Hotel which is a private one ( 5 star).
Both are near Connaught Place, the hub of the city. Your work place should also be close by.

Hey, u are traveling in peak travel season....and finding rooms won't be that easy.

I believe prior booking would be useful. But before you do that find about rates. For a decent (deluxe) hotel the rate is between $250-350. But if you are looking for a budget hotel you can find one for about $100-150.

Since you are staying for two weeks insists on discount that will be useful.

Here is a website that may be of some help.

I recommend -- attempt Gurgaon, Rs. 5000 is a great quantity (for an afternoon) please attempt to ward off low value motels/ visitor homestead, if its conceivable %. some cloths (bags) merely to tutor which you're here to trap a connecting flight (or something) and here to spend merely few hours (day hours) plus placed on first rate cloths (sparkling No to any hanky-panky outfits) you're merely 19 so if posible take some identity-card or something (its extra effective in case your identity-information shows your tackle of another station different then delhi). BTW cann't u manage some chum's homestead ??? (as though to procure caught in a inn ..........) attempt ur success,
