For like a year I've been geting a snuffy nose only at night, during the daytime I'm fine, but every single night when I lay down I get a stuffy nose, then when I stand up I'm fine again. Any ideas what is causing it?

You need a humidifer in your room at night to keep your nose and lungs moist. During the day normal moisture sustains you, in the evening after sundown interior moisiture levels drop. Otherwise you'll end up with bad sinuses. Some people use those Breathe Right strips on their nose instead and say they work, too.

It may be something that you are allergic to in your bedroom that clogs your nose upon assuming the laydown position. Is there any dust or other allergic allergens in the room? Clean thoroughly and freshen the air with either the window open or with an air cleaner.

I agree with Bee but Ted has a good point as well you might have an allergy to something that is only in your bedroom - try his suggestion and perhaps get an allergy test as well.

Agree with "Bee"....A humidifier will help keep your nose un-stuffed and keep the moisture where it belongs...in your lungs! Doing without one puts you at risk for bronchitis in the winter months. Godloveya!

everyone seems to have the same general answer, but i'll throw my experience out there too. the same thing was happening to me a couple of years ago and it turned out i was allergic to the goose down in my pillows! so -- i would start with your bedding ; change it out and see if it helps.
