Depends on the restaurant! You can always call a friend to bring some cash. Whoever is not driving can offer to leave a driver's license and come back later (same day) with payment and a good sized tip and a huge apology to the manager and wait staff.

It's pretty much up to the restaurant. Some have had the person call someone to come and settle the bill. They have the customer wait in the restaurant. Some may allow you to leave information and settle later (this usually requires that you be a regular customer they recognize). If the customer leaves or tries to leave without paying many restaurants now prosecute them as 'runoffs' ' or walkaways'. It is a problem in the industry.

That is considered a walk out and your server would have to pay for the bill. What you should do is talk to the server and leave your drivers license and come back later to pay. most are pretty understanding since you are talking to them about it and not running off, Also a great tip would be mandatory in that situation like 30 or 40 % because you are putting her in the possible position of footing your entire bill if you do not come back

the thing is, me and aron went out to this fancy shmancy restaurant and ended up paying a huge bill. I had to sell my car and then buy a house, flip, and resell it. I then, on a 200000 dollar bet, flew down to pennsylvania and watched a journey consert while betting on an illegal cockfight. I sold my grandmothers nail file for around two grand, headed back to the states and donated my teeth to the homeless. This is when i was in a surprise, i found my family in the middle of the street across from our house hailing cabs to raise awareness for breast cancer. i had to shoot so many crows that day, and that was just before the opperation, dont ask. later on, i taught inner city school children how to read while playing the viola and criticising fine cheeses on ones coffee break. You wouldnt believe the wrist little josh had on him, if that devil went down to georgia song was real... I ran cross country for a bite to eat when i saw ellen fittsgerald on the tele. I realised no one was in the streets. I decided to go home and tape big brother so that i could burn the tape in my standard trash receptical. long story short... no.

I think most restaurants would ask if any one else in your party could pay (if you're eating with others) if you're alone all they could possibly do is allow you to come back later to pay. I've never been in the situation but think most restaurants would be pretty understanding of this.

they are stealing. it's just like shoplifting, and i think the restaurant would call the cops and you would be charged with stealing.
and yes, they have the right to say you are banned from that restaurant.
