I felt light headed after 4 days and couldn't stop thinking about eating greek salad. My boobs were stupidly sore and I had a metallic taste in my mouth by the time I was 3 weeks pregnant. Then the full on nausea for 4 days which I thought was due to a curry overdose... It was time to take a test at 4 weeks. Bingo.

I knew I was pregnant with this baby. (12 weeks). I took 18 HPTs just waiting for a positive. No positives, so I had my doctor do a blood test. BORDERLINE!!! So I had to wait 2 days and have another one... FINALLY the positive I knew it should be. My hubby has also had dreams all 4 times before I found out I was pregnant. He always dreamed about a baby and told me I was pregnant. Usually 2 weeks later I would find out. It is crazy!

Due to the fact that alot of other things can cause similar syptoms as being pregnant (PMS, Cold, etc...) It does take a little extra "awareness" aka "maternal instinct" to know you were pregnant. That's how I've found out these last two times.
Good luck.

When I got pregnant, it seemed like everywhere I went (before I found out) I would always see pregnant women or babies! Customers at work would ask if I had children just out of the blue. I think that I did know before I found out...I just hesitated to take the test! So, yes and everyone around me was also telling me that I was pregnant!

yeah, when i was pregnant i knew that i was even before i did a test, some woman can tell 7 days after conception, it's because of a change in hormones more than maternal instinct.

well it depends on when you take your test. i took mine at 8 weeks.didnt feel a thing before that. but you see after that you just no the baby is there, when you get to about 16 weeks then you no its there cause thats when you start to feel movement. not cause i was showing cause i didnt even get a bump till i was about 7 months. im 8 months now and still really tiny.

I'm not sure there was any maternal instinct, but I knew before the test because my boobs were so sore!

I had an idea i might be but i didn't dare to hope as i'd miscarried the month before. at seven weeks however we thought i ought to finally do a test because i almost passed out on the london underground!
