well, im not sure there is one "fairness" that would apply to all people,,,,, ones concept might be the exact opposite and cause anothers unfairness,,, for example, a murderer may think its fair if he gets as many victims in a month as his friend does, yet his victim may think its fair if he lives to 100,,,,,,
so i dont think i would wish fairness for some people,,, nor even equal opportunity

Life cannot be fair. Everyone cannot win the lottery. Every illness cannot be cured. We all will lose people we love. In the end we will still pass this world. Unfairness is as much a part of life as fairness. Life could only be "fair", even if it were possible, for a handful of people because to be fair to one, there is an equal and opposite reaction of unfairness to another.

I find life very fair! It is more fair than people in it, which then make life fair. If life seems to be difficult, it doesn't mean at all it is unfair... however this wasn't the concept you were talking about.

There are good sides in everything:
1) If "bad" and "unfair" happens to you, you will get stronger, if not stronger, you will anyways experience it and get used to it, and you will not be so insulted next time... You will be more protected

2) If you live your whole life in happiness and everything goes so well, you may thank existence for that.. but you won't be as strong as in the first case probably, BUT you don't need to if everything goes well...blah blah blah...there are thousands of examples...

There is a quote: "If you don't die in a certain situation, you will get out stronger"

Also there is an ancient story. A student decides to go to a village. Master tells him that it is a dangerous place.
Master: They might not let you stay in their house.
Student: I will be thankful for giving me possibility to spend my night on a green field under the stars.
Master: They might insult you!
Man: I will be thankful for it, as they didn't beat me. (mind the gammar)
Master: They might beat you!
Man: I would be grateful to them as they didn't kill me.
Master: They might kill you!
Man: I would be thankful to them for releasing me from this life.
Master: Oh then my Student you can go!

Fair, fair....it's all up to your attitudes darling.

Life is not fair... yet we only notice this once something doesn't work out for our benifit... however we don't realize when it is us who are unfair to others... so in a selfish way i think we'd all like for life to be fair. but if we think about it clearly, no we don't; because if life was fair that means we, siners would 'get what we deserve' for all of the times we are unfair to others. But i do wish everyone was kind and fair with one another.

it would depend on what you mean by fair. arguably life is fair for most healthy people in the sense that they are all the same in the aspect that they are all granted the luxury of reason, by their very definition. So in this aspect, life is fair because almost all have pretty much an equal command over their power of thought. What is unfair about life however is the unequal socio-economic conditions we are all subject to. A child in sub-saharan africa, no matter how brave, intelligent, or strong willed will have a very limited chance to improve his quality of life, as opposed to even the most average american, who because of pure good fortune alone has been afforded unrivaled economic and political luxury. If we seek fairness in our tumultous world, we should try to remedy the unequality of the circumstances of birth. I would, in this definition, make the world fair, in that everyone has the same starting chance.

If life was made to be judged 'fair' by one person it is unlikely that such a judgement would regarded as 'fair' by everyone else.

Some might consider it fair if life dictated that every thief was run over by a bus after commiting a crime. Others might consider a life an unfair exchange for theft of property.

You could never make things fair for everyone nor fair in everyone's opinion, so no, I would not vote to change things.

I agree, I think "unfairness" somewhat fuels our lives because we need the trials and struggles to learn from and grow. Life is fair it just depends on how you percieve it. We only think something is unfair because we compare ourselves with others that are, in our minds, getting or achieving something better than we are. Also, people may think their lives could be unfair when you are getting somthing better than they are. So in the end, life is fair, we just have to always push ourselves and accept and work through the hard times in our lives so that we can grow and be stronge in our lives.

Nobody ever said life was fair. Sometimes it is what we make of it. Like the saying if life throws you a lemon then make lemonade. I wish you look in your life and hope things get better for you. Of course we all want life to be fair but fair to one person might not be what is fair to another person. That's what makes all people unique, differences of opinion.

I'm confused, why isn't life fair. When we're kids it's because we want something we can't have. Is that why life isn't fair. Is it because life is a struggle? all things good come from struggle so I wouldn't wish against that. If I could wish for anything, it would be a love that inspires me.

It's all on how you look at it. You have to consider. what is fair to you maybe unfair to others. It all depends on who's point of view you are looking at. It's all part of life. Example you get promoted, but another person with the same exact job qualifications & same yearly job review score did not. Is it fair to them that they didn't get promoted?
