How do I search weather for specific place and date in the past?

Weather records can be found on NOAA's National Weather Service's website. http://www.nws.noaa.gov/
You'll have to do some searching to find them. There is a link on the left hand side of the webpage under Climate for Past Weather. A better choice would be the National Climatic Data Center: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/ncdc.html.
