Of course, at first glance, one is tempted to say "yes, life would be better if it were fair".
When giving it serious thought it occurred to me that "fair" is objective. What I consider fair -good people get good, bad people get bad- others would define fair in other ways; i.e. everyone gets good, only good; or these people deserve bad and these deserve good, these deserve mediocre...
I have to conclude that there is no 'fair' in our world as we know it.
It would require that everyone think, feel and believe the exact same thing. We can't get a consensus on anything in our own country much less around the world.

Probably not. I have learned that life is not fair, but as I teach my students - Life may not be fair, but you get what you need. Students are always complaining that teachers are not fair - and when you really think about fairness, you can't be. Needs are more important than fair. In my opinion, I'd rather have my personal needs met and be happy with the life I am living, than to think that someone is being 'fair' to me. Fairness means everything is the same....And that's not the kind of world we live in - there are different people, different trains of thought, different cultures, food, languages, history - none of it can or will ever be 'fair' - but each will supply a need to someone.

Life cannot be fair. Everyone cannot win the lottery. Every illness cannot be cured. We all will lose people we love. In the end we will still pass this world. Unfairness is as much a part of life as fairness. Life could only be "fair", even if it were possible, for a handful of people because to be fair to one, there is an equal and opposite reaction of unfairness to another.

If it were fair to me, it would be unfair to others, and in some cases, not advantageous for me anyway, and then I'd be sad about both those things. So...no. I wouldn't wish for life to be fair.

i like the way the movie bruce almighty handled it
i believe it will be fair when Jesus comes back to sit on the throne
Revelations 21
1) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
2) I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
3) And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4) He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Life is not fair...
Big animals eat little animals
boo hoo for the little animals, but without them, the big ones would not exist!
Everyone has a role to play, no matter how insignificant it feels.
