Garrison's paper, The Liberator, would be a good place for abolitionist articles. A good pro-slavery primary source to start with would be Taney's Dred Scott decision.

Frederick Douglass's Autobiography is a very good source with firsthand info. You may find old newspaper articles about the Dred Scott case or others at that time.
