I need to know the molar mass, moles of each element, and atoms of each element. The element is Gold(Au). How do I find out this information? I already know the mass is 51.0617 grams.

Molar mass: the number of grams in one mole (6.022 X 10^23 molecules) of a substance. This is taken by adding the atomic weights of each of the atoms in a molecule.

Since gold is a pure element, its molar mass is equal to its atomic weight, 196.9666.

Since you have a given mass of 51.0617 grams, divide this by gold's molar mass to get the number of moles:
51.0617/196.9666 = 0.2592 moles

Now, since there are 6.022 X 10^23 (Avogadro's number) of molecules in a mole of any substance, multiply your number of moles by this number to get the number of atoms.
0.2592 X 6.022 X 10^23 = 1.5611 X 10^23 atoms

Molar mass is the atomic mass (found on the periodic table) in grams (1 mole Au = 197g)

Avagadro's number (1 mole = 6.023X10^23 atoms)

well a gold atom has 79% protons, 118 neutrons, and 79 electrons. i dont know if that helps though
