My friend keeps lying to me. The other week she told me she was going out in London with a delivery driver she met at her old company, I said to her I didn't think it was a good idea as she does not no him. I said if you are going to go, please tell me roughly where your'll be going and text me, just so I know you are ok.

Then she changed it and said she was going out with one of our friends out of the group, which is cool as he is a nice guy.
I was on her work computer today looking for an e-mail and I notice one from this guy she had been out with (I know I shouldn't have looked but I did). It was going on about what a great night they had and that she had no regreats about what happened the night they went out. (they kissed), we are really good friends and do most things together and tell each other everything (well I thought we did) I can't understand why she didn't say anything when she told me about the rest of the night with him.

She didn't go out with the delivery driver, that was just her story when she was going out with the guy from the group.
I have no problem her going out with the guy from the group, he is wicked (very funny), I would be pleased for her thats why I do get why she didn't say anything.

I'm not asking her to tell me everything, just thought friends shared that sort of thing. I have no problem with her having her own privacy, I was just wondering why she didn't say anything as she has before.
I was worried about her safety going out with someone she didn't even no. I wasn't asking her to give me a detailed step by step plan of where she was going was just asking roughly in case anything happened.

She should respect the fact that you worry about her. I think she was just too worried about what you think of her to tell you. But for her safety she should have told you.

Perhaps she just wanted to keep this from you as she knew what your reaction would be and didn't want the hassle? I don't think you should let on that you know she went out with the first guy - wait to see if she says anything to you.

She may have strong feelings for the guy, and isn't ready to share them with anyone else yet; it doesn't mean she isn't your friend. Even though you're her boss, you're invading her privacy by reading her computer; the question should, perhaps be, are you really her friend?

If it's a friend from your group she's seeing she's probably just nervous that it won't work out. I've been out with friends before and it's always easier if you keep it quiet until you know it's going somewhere, attention is bad that early on.

I'd back off, she doesn't have to tell you everything, fair enough to say text me to let me know you are OK but to ask where it is she is going is a bit far, you sound a bit obsessive. i would never check a friend e-mail, it wouldn't enter my head, respect her privacy!

Somethings you just want to cherish to yourself...I'm sure she didn't not tell you maliciously but it was only the first date after all.
Stop looking at it like a betrayal but more a case of 'what you don't know can't hurt you'.

Maybe she feels like if you are stocking her, ande if she didn't tell you what happened the other night is because maybe she was to embarresed to do so. Just relax and let her talk to you when she feels ready to do it. Don't hesitate!

well all I can say is she doesnt seem to have a reason to lie really - I mean I wouldnt lie to a friend over something like this.
However you had no right to read her emails - it seems you're both as bad as each other! xx

Just respect her privacy...she doesn't necessarily have to tell you EVERYTHING
