I by no ability study the comics, so i'm comparing the television educate of Heroes, and the hot X-adult men action pictures, and that i'm completely going with Heroes. The 0.33 Xmen completely ruined it for me, or perhaps although Heroes hasn't been large reliable at the moment, i love it.

There was actually a book published, I believe "The Science of the X-Men" which gives how a person theoretically could possesses mutant abilities.

Well, I'm pretty sure there aren't any scientific theories about super powers. But if you're interested in Superman at all, you should watch Season 1 of Smallville - it shows how Superman discovers and develops his powers.

No, they don't really exist because then the police, fire departments and the military would all be trying to hire people with those abilities. And criminals and terrorists would be trying to get them too, or if they couldn't get the powers themselves, they'd blackmail the supers or kidnap their loved ones and force them to do whatever they wanted.
