I'm not offended, nor do I feel threatened. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and just for your information, this is the World Wide Web, so people from all over the world use Yahoo Answers if they speak English, and there is a Yahoo Answers site for other languages too. There are certain questions to which someone will always give a "stupid" answer just for 3 points. If you plan to use Answers for a while, get used to it.

I don't get this anti-american stuff. I have a lot of respect for the US. Just cause the president is a numpty, does not mean they all are!
Not all americans support the war in Iraq and even if they do they are entitled to their opnions
If people are to been seen as reflections of their political leader - we must come across as a bunch of deaf sheep willing to jump over a cliff cause the president said so despite the fact that it is not what shepherd i.e the electorate would want - we are worse!! How democratic are we!!
The person who wrote this should take the advice 'if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all'
all americans are very welcome in this country as far as I'm concerned!!

Agree with H - do Americans think they won the war?
I really dont understand your question. I have had loads of offensive answers on Yahoo - including people telling me to commit suicide. Yahoo Answers is not for the sensitive!

I`m from Argentina. I don`t like questions / answers / comments which may offend others, no matter where they come from, their religion, etc. We all deserve the same respect.
I find it interesting to learn about other points of view, cultures or ideas. We live in a global society, let`s try to be more kind with one another.

There is this problem with British and American humour. In its simplest form, if you say "all Americans are sh*te", most Americans wouldn't find that particularly funny. On the other hand, if you said "British jingoists are sh*te", everyone would think that was hilarious, apart from British jingoists. It must be the way they spell humor.

From the diction of English language, it appears that most of the members at this Yahoo/forum are Americans. All web services are American, including Yahoo/ !

wheres the offensive part? as for person who said that if it werent for thew u.s we'd all be speaking german right now hows he work that out? all the usa did was profiteer out of the first 3 years of the war and only when the japanes bombed pearl harbour did they officially enter the conflict on our side. as it is if it werent for us in the u.k then the u.s wouldnt exist as they'd all be a bunch of french/spanish/english colonies before we took em over and lost them in the war of independance...which part of me is relieved that we did lose anyway if only that it stopped certai naspects of recent history happening in london or liverpool

I'm not offended but having lived in america for a few years know they will get offended as they don't like people poking fun at them even when it is tongue in cheek.
Thank god i'm back in the U.K. now!!!

Life-threatening? No.
Stupid, hateful and needlessly rude? Yes. And look, you're going on to insult other people, too. How nice. Grow up.
