i doubt it just stops...the baby must of had a problem that they didn't know about yet....I'm not sure but i don't think it's that common or that you have anything to worry about, but they do have these new things out that you can buy in the store to listen to your baby's heartbeat at home but they don't work right away usually you can hear it around 19 weeks that's when i did but alot of them are not that good and you cant hear anything...so i would say splurge a little and buy a good one it may be higher in price but the 20-30 dollar ones dont work i know from experience

I don't know why it happens, but it is extremely UNcommon to happen AFTER you have already seen the heartbeat. My doctor told me that if you see the heartbeat at the first ultrasound it is very unlikley to miscarry after that point. The reason you see so many people talking about it is becasue it happened to them, so they want to talk about it. The millions of women whose pregnancies proceed normally aren't going to be posting all the time about it. The other women do so because there was a problem. You are fine. Because you already know the baby is viable (you saw the heartbeat) it is very unlikely to miscarry. Don't worry - you are good! You saw the heatrbeat. Now the next thing will be when they check the organs at the 16-18 week ultrasound. If that goes OK - you are golden! They can find even tiny problems, so if they say the baby is OK after that, your baby is totally fine.

I am not sure that the heart beat actually stops, I think what it is , is that the baby actually moves in a position where it's hard to hear the heart beat.Whatever you do do not start reading alot of bad things about having babies because it will put stress on you as well as the baby and that is a lot worst okay, Just take care of your self take your vitamins and eat properly, and go see your doctor when you are suppose to and I do believe you will have a beautiful healthy baby.....Congrads!!!!!

Most of the time, is just the baby's position and has nothing to do with the baby's heart stopping. Don't worry about it, your baby is fine and you will be able to hear his/her heartbeat in every visit from the doctor. All the best.

You must not be stress during these 9 months and also I suggest that you can count your lovely baby's heartbeat each day. It's best that you can feel the heartbeat at night cos you tend to move lesser. Read more parenting and pregnancy books. It helps. Anything ask your gyne's advise. Rem to check the heartbeat daily and consistenly.

I would say a reason would be the umbilical cord getting wrapped around the babie's neck due to their position in the womb..Well just by the death stats there aren't alot of babies that die while still in the womb so I would it isn't uncommon but it just doesn't happen all the time...Happy Pregnancy :)
