How many Americans were killed when the towers were attacked? I believe we may have gone a bit overboard here folks.... Terrorists want 2 things.. for Americans to be afraid (that's the basis of terrorism.. it's not warfare, it's to instill fear) and for the US to destroy its self.... well our freedoms are slowly dwindeling in the name of "security" (fear) and the world is turning against us because of our actions! Who do we want to be? the kid that after he gets hit in the nose by a bully, he runs and tackles him so they can both roll in the dirt? or the kid that outsmarts the bully, crushing his moral and making us look better than he is at the same time!

wishfulthinker.. ask yourself if we could have prevented those deaths.. the fact of the matter is we could have tried.. this isn't the first month of massive civilian deaths.. our mere presence is what is elevating the situation.. do the Iraquis need help? yes, but there are countried better suited for the job.. Pakistan would love to take over the policing for us.. they would get to build relations with a major oil producing nation, they are muslim so they will be more accepted and many of these deaths could be avoided! Bring our boys home!

katjha, i'm not talking about standing in line a few minutes more at an airport when i talk about rights.. i'm talking about wire tapping without a warrant.. that line of thought. You can beef up homeland security without losing individual rights.. and wouldn't that be a lot easier if more of our troops were here and not in Iraq where they aren't wanted or appreciated?

tinker thinker lol about the spell check.. and Pakistan can bring stability to that country.. and we can still back them financially if we want to (it would cost a lot less than what we are spending now) so that it could still be "our project" then we save face, they region becomes less volitile because the US isn't there (lets face it, the blind hate they have for us will always overpower any attempt to help them) and Pakistan gets to improve relations with the US and with Iraq.

klberry, you have made too many assumptions about me to be tackled in this forum.. I think you and I would need a sports bar and a month to actually talk about everything you have said...

Even one American life is too many to promote "democracy" in a foreign country - especially since the freedoms of Americans are taken away everyday. Our country is becoming a lawless society while our military is busy in a foreign country - our military should be protecting our borders in OUR country!

I don't understand what you are saying... we should just let someone attack us and not care... that seems hardly rational... we certainly do need to beef up our security and make sure that we are doing everything we can to protect the citizens of this country... one person can kill thousands... and it's not just international terrorist, but domestic terrorists... we have to protect ourselves-I would rather lose some of my rights if it means my son grows up in a safe country- now no I do not agree with this war in Iraq.. but I was all for the one in Afghanistan... wars for reasons I completely agree with.. I think the reason for the war in Iraq has gotten lost in... WMD, Free the Iraqi people, spreading Democracy, and whatever else the President has come up with for reasons for this war when one reason fails

Standing in line at an airport isn't a right.. as far as wire taping, it has always been allowed with or without a warrant... this is nothing new.. and if they want to listen to my boring conversation and if it protects my child then have at it... sometimes you have to sacrifice somethings for your safety and protection... there are obviously rights I wouldn't give up but if they want to hear my boring conversation have at it

i am so with you on this one.it makes me sick what is going on.this war is being prolonged because Saudi Arabia wants it that way.all the countries that were buying oil from Iraq have been buying from the Saudis and they are loving it.they are also wanting Bush to attack Iran and Syria for the same reason.this is the truth because it is the only way this all makes sense.Saddam has been out of power for a while now,and there were no weapons.so why would we stay.we stayed because Bush is trying to force a government on them that will allow him and the Saudis to secretly control the oil.he should be tried for war crimes in Iraq and for crimes against humanity in New Orleans for sitting in his office watching people die needlessly for 5 days after Katrina hit.enough of the bloodshed already.bring our men and women home now. great question and comments.

Thanks yourself and people like you for the declining values, morals and values in our country. I`ll bet You beleive in abortion, flag burning, satanic worship The big bang, all that stuff! I`d think you are against the Bible and prayer in school. Don`t excute the child rapest, he`s only human!
So Tell me do you know that Saduia Arabia has established over 850 moasic in our country? Wonder why? If the infidel does not convert to Islam,Kill him? So lets just give all these right of freedom back, Don`t allow the Government to check on communications and put our head back in the sand and wait for it to happen again. ON 9/11 did you even get angery?

I don`t agree with the reason we went in to Irag, but we are there. If you want us out now before the job is done you demean the young men and weman who did loose their lives there. You have said it was for nothing.
Think about it, who is killing doing the killing in Irag now? They are killing each other. They were before we went there and they will when we down size our involvment there. They have a chance to choose freedom . Becasue we gave then the choice. Sadam would never have allowed that option. I would like for you to look at the islam`s plan to take over the world. They do have one you know. And they are well on their way. I know i have been passionate and sometimes rude speaking to you today. But we are allowing this country to be ruined when we don`t stand up for it. The right of the many do outweight the rights of the few. Now we have to alow every liberal minded person to ruin all of our morals ,values, and standard that have kept us strong. It makes me sick. I watched too many of my friends die next to me in Vietnaum to allow lliberals to degrade this country, what it stand for with out speaking up.. I am anti war!!!!! War is wrong. I wish it had never happened, but it has. Now lets not insult those who have paided the price. If nothing else conside the parents with out their babies now, Want to tell then it is wrong, Was it wrong their child gave his her life for nothing? Have a fun day Thanks.

Why is Al Queiada not in the spell check?

Who killed those 'civilians' ? Civilians did... You have become victim to the very thing you preach against.
There is no comparison whatsoever.
Start over with your thinking process and see if I just might be right.
