Er . . . in a word . . .no.
We've moved on.
Whatever stupid Hollywood films like to say about British people none of us actually give a TOSS about the empire or "want it back" - it was gone long before I was born and I have never known an "empire".
Its a thing of the past. Leave it in the past where it belongs.
(If this was an attempt to be Anti-British - then I'm sorry to burst your bubble).

The British Empire was not given away or messed up!
The economical impact of WW2 was the nail in the coffin for the British Empire.
The Empire's end began with the onset of the Second World War, when a deal was reached between the British government and the Indian independence movement, whereby the Indians would co-operate and remain loyal during the war, after which they would be granted independence. Following India's lead, nearly all of Britain's other colonies would become independent over the next two decades.
The end of Empire gathered pace after Britain's efforts during World War II, left the country all but exhausted, heavily bombed, liquidising assets all over the world and found its former allies disinclined to support. Economic crisis in 1947 made many realise that the Labour government should abandon Britain's attempt to retain all of its overseas territories.
I think the typical person answering this good and hard question, would have no idea how to give a sensible answer! (i know i can't)

The Brits gave away the Empire and today they do not want it back. The Brits that created the Empire have descendants most of these live in Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. The Brits left in Britain are a small minority of the people descended from the people that created the Empire so ask the majority who are for the most part now in North America.

Absolutely NOT. The British first tried to get rid of their empire back in the heady days of the Regency - the campaign to do so was lead by the Tory, Geo.Canning - sorry to say it did not happen.
Thankfully, Supermac [Harold Macmillan MP PM] started the process to get rid of the last of empire with his famous "Winds of Change" speech.
I saw the Union Flag come down on empire in the 1950s and 60s.
Good effing' riddance to it all if you ask me! Set the people free, let them govern themselves.

Back in the '70's I spent 3 years in India. I was surprised at the number of people who said to me that they were sorry that the British left as the country was much better governed then. We now live in a world where political correctness is more important than competent governance no matter how much chaos corruption and suffering it causes

No thanks, We get the blame for most of the world's problems along with America often enough as it is, if we actually ran these countries imagine how much more grief we'd get then?
Let them run their own countries. Then when they mess it up they'll come to us for help as alwaysand then have no gratitude when we give it.

The rest of the world has the right to run themselves.
Apart from the Americans, of course, who have proven that they can't be trusted with independence...
