BEFORE she has the procedure?

Abortion is such a passionate issue. But I notice that when a person has a viewpoint that is different from another person's, he or she can become very annoyed (sometimes very angry) under the guise that one of them is attempting to push their beliefs on the other. If I do not believe in abortion, that is my right, my choice. If YOU do believe in abortion, that is YOUR right, your choice.
But here we have a bunch of mostly male politicians making decisions about what is primarily a woman's issue. And here we have a bunch of mostly male doctors performing abortions.
I don't feel that a man should have any say in this crucial issue. A man can't get pregnant and therefore does not have to make a decision concerning what to do with "his body." Period.
All of the burden rests on the woman.
But to cover all bases, I truly believe that a woman should be required to actually SEE what happens to that fetus BEFORE she has the procedure.
Opinions?

You are right, they should actually show them what happens to the child before they chose to go on with the abortion. It's a gruesome procedure and I couldn't bare to see that done on a dog, lot less on a human being... I think a lot of women would reconsider, if they would actually have all the facts about what's going to happen to their child.
Personally, I believe there are times when an abortion is the best choice (for example, for a 13 years old girl that has been raped), but I am really sad that a lot of women use it as contraception (they probably don't know pregnancy is just one possible outcome of unprotected sex, there's AIDS out there and other diseases).

Abortion is a personal choice made by individuals based on their own beliefs and the circumstances.

Personally, I do not favor abortions but I do not feel that I have the right to deny another of their choice.

The problem is that even if made illegal - it will still be done.

I think that the solution to abortions is better education and that this cannot be done by cracking down on or making them illegal. I'm not talking about education such as what is currently being taught in our schools. I'm talking about education once entering the abortion clinic or facility. I honestly believe that if each woman faced with an unwanted pregnancy were to be shown a film of an actual abortion and shown the developing stage of an embryo they may reconsider their choice.

Many are scared and are clueless of what is actually going to take place. Instead of protesters standing outside of the clinics waving murderer signs in their faces, a kind and concerned person should be available to provide counsel and education prior to the procedure. The focus should be on the other choices available to them and providing information on additional assistance. Many times these people are not counseled and many are young and do not know what other sources are available to them. Many do not even know what an abortion entails.

Sadly, most people are just willing to condemn them. Few are willing to put forth an extra effort to save the child, they would prefer to stand back hurling insults and blowing up buildings and clinics.

No, I think to much emphasis is put on the baby it's self.. people that are so passionate about abortions forget about the women that lose their baby's through no fault of their own.. if a woman has a miscarriage the first thing the doctor tells her is that it wasn't a baby-and tell her all about the pregnancy so she understands that it wasn't a living baby, when a woman has to have an abortion for health issues, the doctor will do the same thing... it's to help the woman cope with the loss.. and when pro-life people put up billboards and commercials about the baby, it only contradicts what the doctor's told the women and hurts them.. it does not get the word out to women that choose to have an abortion.... if people want to get their word out and stop so many voluntary abortions then they need to promote adoption more, on billboards and commercials and leave the anatomy and procedure up to the doctors to tell their patients

Yes, and while we're at it, everyone who has facial reconstruction should have to watch that too. Especially the part where they cut the skin under the neck and peal away the skin from the skull like a latex mask. Awesome!

The only point for that is to gross people out. Medical decisions should be left to a doctor and the patient. If a patient wants all the details, she (he) should ask a physician directly.

In my state, there is what's called informed consent, and you DO have to see the development of the fetus, but also, you have to read all of the stuff it takes to raise a child. Second, I had what's called RU486 which is a medical procedure where you take 2 rounds of pills, and pass it at home. I SAW WHAT CAME OUT OF MY BODY, and it wasn't a baby. I held it in my hand, and it wasn't a baby. It wasn't ANYTHING like what I expected. So, if you show women what it ACTUALLY is, and not some outdated procedure not even legal anymore (Silent Scream) I think more women would be willing to see that it isn't a baby, and it doesn't have to be a violent surgical action.

No, I don't think so. We know what happens. Having an abortion isn't something that most women take lightly. It's a struggle. It's hard to deal with and those who do get one will have to deal with it for the rest of their lives. For a women who has decided that this is the best thing for her, watching what will happen during the procedure will not make her change her mind. I think it will only make it more difficult for her to deal with the aftermath and more difficult to heal emotionally afterwards.

I think that everyone who is pro-life should stop judging those who are pro-choice. They don't know what these individual women are going through.
Of course, some women might do it for selfish reasons. But, what about those who put their lives at risk simply by carrying their babies? I'm sorry, but if I had to decide between my life and that of my unborn child, as difficult as it would be, I would have to pick mine.

It really is up to each individual women. Let them choose what's best for them, and don't judge them if they do something that you wouldn't personally do.

real, yet this is purely the character of the beast, with the point to communicate. no longer something could nicely be thoroughly honest & equivalent for each guy or woman, incredibly whilst talking approximately gender transformations (ie women folk can delivery infants & adult men can not). women folk can not consistently undertake a toddler out if the daddy needs to maintain the toddler. yet sure, women folk can pick in the present day, to abort a toddler regardless of if the daddy needed to maintain it. And adult men can not pick to no longer pay newborn help in the event that they do no longer prefer the toddler. in certainty, in case you do no longer prefer to ought to pay for a toddler you do no longer prefer, then purely don't have intercourse with a woman you do no longer prefer to get pregnant. this is the final analysis certainty of all of it. adult men ought to be in charge for his or her movements additionally, & having intercourse with a woman (which at any time, no be counted what, could desire to consequence in a being pregnant) is the possible consequence of that determination.

If you are a woman and you believe in the right to choose, then be pragmatic and do not engage in activities that will end up in pregnancy.

Pregnancy is apart of the consequences for having sex. You can surely place some spiritual sanctity or emotional bond on it but it is essentially two body parts rubbing up against each other for immediate pleasure to ensure the survival of the species.

If you get AIDS, Herpes, or HPV from having engaged in sex you cannot abort these deseases. Why should a human life be thrown away for the sake of your convience. Or course the exception is rape, where the woman does not CHOOSE to have sex.

Now that my soap box is over it is fairly safe to say that most people have already seen the videos and anyone with half a Brain knows what she is doing.

Please don't view my opinion as a right-winged inspired for I believe that all human life should be considered precious (yes even those who take a human life) and preserved. Abortion is a way to alleviate natural consequences. At the same time I can not say that I am not in favor of the morning after pill. But once it begins to look like a child...

If you don't believe in abortion, don't GD have one. Take that right away from the rest of us and you will start a very uncivil war. Angry women with matches all across America will turn fundi and Catholic churches into burning monuments to gender repression.

How exactly is this a "woman's issue"? Are only girl babies murdered? Of course not, roughly 50% of all babies are male, therefore roughly 50% of abortions murder male babies.

Furthermore, it is NOT an issue about a woman's body. It is an issue about the child's body. Which can be proven by common sense and DNA, that it is not a part of the woman's body and is a uniquely identifiable human. What does it matter if the child lives in the mother's womb, or in the mother's house? The child is still human and should not be murdered.

Abortion is by far the most heinous crime humans commit. It is a demonstration of how sick a society is that it allows the most innocent and unprotected to be massacered.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.
