An encounter at an unusual place
Is where this fairy-tale begins.
Two simple people found each other
What started out as friendship,
Worked out to be so much more.
Lying, Secrets, Hiding from others
It’s all part of our playful game
Being Sneaky and Intelligent
Just makes it hard for the others to see
What’s really going on at this unusual place.
Games, Movies and Walking, with or without the dog
Could there be anything better to pass time?
Sure there is: Conversation, Tickling and Kissing.
Lots of things on our “to-do” list, never remembering any of it,
Nevertheless we are completing the list slowly.
Juice, Jelly Tots, Kit Kat and Tim Horton’s
Food that keeps finding it’s way back to us
Don’t you worry, Candies and Chocolates
Will not be forgotten either,
For I know it’s something you really enjoy.
Time is something hard to find
Yet we always try to make some.
So I’m grateful for the time we’ve had together
And I’m looking forward to even more of it.
Time apart is hard on the soul, but it helps us become strong.
On this day, today the 14th of February
I write this for you, to show you
That I do care for you, and you are special to me.
I’ve decided to express these feelings as best as I can
Through an ever lasting poem full of emotions.
