Don't pay them any attention, they are not worth of it but if it becomes serious then you should go to police or talk to someone.People who are racists are ignorant and not worth of your time.

Realize that the world is full of ignorant people, and nothing you do will change them... They need to change themselves, and until then, you should try to deal with it on your end in the best way possible. They want to get a rise out of you, they want you to be uncomfortable, they want you to feel out of place... There is nothing so stupid as being hateful towards a person because of the color of their skin, or their religion... Unfortunately, a person can never really see his or her own ignorance when it comes to a broader spectrum of issues... such as racism.

If it really does bother you, than put some distance between yourself and the person(s) responsible for making those comments to you. You don't need to be around them... and if you continue to put yourself in that situation, then you are almost as much to blame... sorry, but it's true. If it's at work... quit, or talk to a supervisor... if it's Friends or mutual friends... then stop hanging out with them... Ultimately, you are responsible for yourself and your reactions... You are responsible for your happiness... So, take charge! Good luck... I know it's hard, but you can overcome... if you want to... no one else can do it for you.

just look them in the eye and stare and then say, "your only doing this because youre either jealous of me or youre either just a mean person no one really likes" and if they deny it, just be all like, "well, whatever" and walk away. so, this way you can still keep your dignity. i mean, when i was in 4th grade, i rode a bus full of black people and there were only like 4 or 5 white kids including me. i'm NOT racist against blacks. but they would call me names like "white trash" and stuff, and they thought their little immature remarks would hurt me, but they actually made me stronger. so, if you just simply ignore them, it WILL stop b/c they'll think that you dont really care about it. good luck!

Do not respond in anyway, just turn and walk away. People who make these kind of remarks are beyond contempt and there is absolutely no excuse for their behavior. Hugs.

I agree with the first poster.

Just look them in the eye and laugh (a little). OK, words CAN hurt - but only if you let them.

Of course, if they are SCREAMING them at you, always consider the option of running away (discretion being the better part etc)

Everybody needs to quit being so sensitive and relax a little. They are only words. You can not change how a person feels, and an apology is usually just to save a career or an advancement. What difference does it make to a person how another person feels about something

It's hard. It depends on the situation. I have experienced so many different situations. I had to handle them all in a different manner according to the situation. But I never got rude or violent.

Any way you choose. you could get offended and fight and fuss, you could take it silently. Overall I would suggest you understand the hate in that person and try to come to terms with that very same hate in your own heart. Try to grow up and eventually the world will follow.

Neglect them back in any way you can.

They have to learn to behave like civilized adults, and if you dont "punish" them, they think it`s ok.

Ignore them! Do not participate in any of them - listening, spreading them further etc.
