So my girl decided that there is no way we can be together because the distance is too hard. I have already ordered her a Christmas present...I'm naming a star for her. My order is on hold now. So should i just be out the $25 order cancellation fee or should i pay the rest of the money to give her this present?

I think u should cancel the order. That is a very special gift that should go to a woman that is part of your life, not someone who broke up with u. Her loss, and great gift by the way.

Be out the $25 cancellation fee or pay the rest and name the star after someone else in your life that you care deeply for, i.e. mother, sister, aunt. The present will do nothing but push her farther away if she is telling you this now. Sorry and good luck.

Have your hubby open up a savings account with him & his daughter on it. You can send card to her and say dad & I or step grammy put $20 or X amount in your special account. Then when she visits you you can take her shopping for something she wants. Or when she is older she can use that for college or a house or a car whatever. This way your money is not going to waste and you can actually make sure the girl gets use of it. Or you may want to start to get a savings bonds and suggest that to your mom. It seems like your mom wants to give the girl a gift, but can not see the sense in wasting her money and I would agree with her.

I would say that you need to move on, especially if she may have someone else in mind. It's not fair to the new guy and you would just be wasting the money. I've been there and I also have seen people go where they do not belong. Just move on, dude. Go to Yahoo Personals. That's what I did and I've got the greatest woman in the world.

Well it depends. If it was a nasty break up and you are no longer friends, a star wouldnt probably be a good gift for an ex-friend. If you two are still friends, sure! Or if you dont want to give it to her, give it to another person, like your sister or mom or somebody.

Since you broke up, there's absolutely no need to give her a present. If you're thinking of coming back together, then you could still give her.

But, if her name isn't written on the star, you could still buy and keep it for your next grilfriend.

Can you change the name of the star to someone else? Like YOU or a pet or someone who won't break your heart.

I think it's ok to give a gift to an ex, but I wouldn't go the romantic route.

I would say no unless you are planning on staying friends. If you think that it is over for good don't give it to her.

DEPENDS HOW MUCH YOU THOUGHT OF HER, IF SHE IS A SPECIAL AS YOU MAKE HER SOUND THEN BUY IT ANYWAY SO THAT SHE WIL REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS, WHO KNOWS SHE MAY EVEN RETHINK HER PLANS FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP.
