There is always construction, it is the biggest eyesore and I cant see how everyone is just so damn happy to live there. Everyone says that Texas is the same. That is crap. Texas is absolutely beautiful more so than Chicago. LA is the same but New york is beautiful. I think the people are a lil different in Chicago as well. Yes I should know, I unfortunately lived there. Glad to be back home in Texas.

Yes, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.
But "absolutely [more] beautiful"?
And people are a little different everywhere (around the US and the world). That's the beauty of the USA. But not to like them for it?
Chicagoans love their city because it is world-class in arts, architecture, and research (to name but a few categories), while the cost of living is half that of NYC. (I love NYC, however, the only city that can match or beat Chicago in the "all-around"). There's hard-nosed work ethic in the heart of the Chicago that is absent in other cities (again, NYC excepted). The diverse economy of Chicago keeps it from slumping like those of Detroit and Dallas.
In the North-Central US, there's one place to be.
But, if you want to go home, then "bye".

The ONLY problem with Texas is that the grass is never green and August is like spending time in hell.
