Can anyone tell me how soft-shelled eggs get formed in an animal's body? I need it 4 a project... quick! any animal will do, just give an overview. you can also give me the website to find the info. thx!!

it is caused by vitamin and calcium defieciency. What you could do to prevent it is give them some bits of clam shells or egg shells.

same way as a hard shelled egg- only not as much calcium is layed down, or there is a different chemical structure for the shell. Chickens can lay soft shell eggs if depleted of calcium. A lot depends on the species you are doing.

they do get formed..but i dont know how it gets formed... just watch the discovery channel!
