Well, I'm already a Christian. It would be interesting to see how the world turns upside down from the chaos. Many would not agree to convert and that could get very ugly! Now, we are assuming that this isn't some false prophet, right?

Let's look at the assumptions of the question:
- God left and can return
- God can appear to man
- God would show up at the Vatican
- God has a heart that can be broken
- God can die
- God prefers Jews and Christians
- God prefers the Bible to other forms of inspiration and guidance
(BTW - which one? The one where the Hebrew people talk in Old English?)
Mary Stevenson's "Footprints in the Sand" (see below) is a great eye opener suggesting that some day we'll all realize that God has always been here and is fully available to all.
God can't return tomorrow because God never left.

Your question has lots of holes in it. #1.., God can not die and would never even hypothetically say he would.., it would be a lie, and God don't lie.
#2.., God doesn't give two hoots in the wind about that Vatican. He is first and foremost a God of the Jews - THEN (in proper order) to the Gentiles (non Jews) and would appear in Jerusalem if he were going to appear at all.
#3. No man can see God. To see him is to die. We can only see him through his mirrored representative; Jesus (not the pope), Jesus being his one and only Son.
#4. Even Jesus can not die - for he is eternal. The New Testament states it is appointed to man to die once..., Jesus died once and was resurrected into an immortal being.
#5. Mankind is give a choice to believe in God, except Jesus gift of life and escape the judgment or suffer the consequences of extermination the sin that plagues the earth.
The Bible is pretty straight foreword for those who care to read and understand.

He is going to return when most least expect Himand He won't have a broken heart. He gave people ever opportunity to accept or reject Him. Next time He returns will be a different story than the last time. Man can not fix this world and we all know that by now. Not to worry when Christ comes it will be indeed made right. I know I would rather be one of His than against Him. Because you won't be able to stand against God, little people. God will either strike fear into the heart like man has never known or He will welcome you like a loving Father, you pick. When you have children you expect them to follow your rules, God is no different.

God would not say that...remember he has seen a lot of humanities become inhumane. He sent his son to live among us and to die on the cross for our sins that we might have ever lasting life. This was the end of God's time of anger and retribution and the beginning of grace.
So, if he comes tomorrow, I will ask him to join us for some turkey...or, even if he doesn't come, we will still pray he joins us.

Has god been to the Vatican before? If you are referring to Jesus (which is implied in your question), why would he want us to become Christian? He was a Jew.
Or, if what Christians say is correct, why would he want us to become Jewish? Jews rejected him.
Maybe he would ask us to become Sikh, because they believe there is one god and many religions. They can actually pray in any house of worship. Wouldn't it make more sense that he would want something that would unite us? My guess, if Jesus was actually what the Christians claim, he would be horrified by the separatist quality of religion and want to do something about it.
By the way, there are so many contradictions in the bible/bibles, which letter of which word would have to be followed?

Did God ever leave? And how do you make atheists/muslims/buddhists etc. etc. care if the Christian God will die of broken heart or brain damage?
If it were a matter of life and death though, I believe people are capable of miracles, including following the bible to the letter of the word.

Considering I'm an atheist this would be very interesting. Let me see.
I suppose I wouldn't do it. Even if god appeared I would still believe in my own path and choices and if that meant I had to go to 'hell' then it is no god I would of wanted to follow anyway. I don't think I could live with myself for eternity giving up my beliefs for a god who demands you agree with him or suffer eternal torment. Personally, I'd choose the torment.

First of all, if ha appeared at the Vatican, the pope would want
proof that HE was who HE said HE was. So it is doubtful that
the rest of us would even get the message.
Personally, I would exactly as HE asked.

lm a believer so no need for conversion. This world is His creation so He can come anytime He wants. He gave us freewill so He would never force anyone to be a Christian for it will go against His belief.
l'll be very happy to finally meet Him. l'll spent the remaining hours praying for more souls to go to heaven. Everyone's invited up there.
