My husband does not lie. In the very beginning of our relationship I did catch him a few fibs here and there and we got to the bottom of it and it stopped. Ask yourself some questions... have you or do you ever complain about what he eats/how much he spends/what game he plays/ etc? Because if you have, then you've set up a reason for him to feel he HAS to lie. Some things like not wanting to hurt someone about how they feel is normal and everyone has done it. Has someone else made him feel he has to lie? You need to work this out. I did and it IS possible. Men don't lie about everything.. only some men do and they usually have a reason. The one thing I learned in my marriage and want to pass on is you need to pick your battles. If you're always complaining then he's always on the defensive and not listening to you.

That is a generalization, but I know what you mean. Some men don't want anyone to know they have feelings, so they lie about hard emotional issues. Some men want sex, so they say whatever it takes to get a gal in bed. Some men don't want to seem like the bad guy, so they lie about you. Some men have self esteem issues, so they try to portray themselves as something they are not. Some men have personality disorders, and they don't know they are full of it. :)
Some men don't lie, and we can't accept what they are saying.
