Ah, bummer. Just because you were sacked from one job, doesn't make you incompetent. Go back to the manager; tell him or her you would like to find out what you were doing wrong, and why. Ask what you can do to improve things for yourself.
At worst, they will tell you to get lost; if that's the case, you had a lucky escape. You don't want to work for that sort of person anyway.
At best, they might reconsider. Even if they don't, try another type of work. Don't be put off because of one bad manager's attitude.
Sometimes it can take time to find a job that suits you;it's like buying shoes that fit well and look good - you just have to try on a lot before you find the right pair.

First of all, realize that everyone is good at SOMETHING. If you were not good at your job, then there is one that you you will be good at, but you just have not found it yet.
I know, people will tell you not to take it too personally, but ANY sort of rejection hurts. It's what you do about it that determines your character.
If you are not sure what you want to do, or what your specific skills are, then maybe you should consult a career counselor or a job placement agency.
These people are trained to find options for you that would be a good fit for you.
Realize this. Mistakes are merely ways to discover what doesn't work. they do not detract from your quality as a human being. And try to look at each obstacle as an opportunity in disguise. An opportunity to learn something, improve something, and overcome something.
If you need soem time to soul-search, and you can afford to do so (take some time out) then keep yourself busy with volunteer work. Volunteering is a noble thing, and it is also a way to learn more about yourself. You will have the opportunity to share your time and effort with those who need it most. In doing this, it will build you up from the inside out. People will appreciate you and your effort. You will start to realize things about yourself that you ARE good at, and maybe you will find some direction. Besides, it will feel so good inside to be able to make someone's day.
Hang in there, I hope that you find something you can work with.

Look at the reasons for why you were sacked and work on improving those areas of your work performance. Take this as constructive critisism and use it in a positive light when you apply for a new job. Maybe consider a change in career because its obvious that that job wasn't for you.
Don't get depressed about it, its only a job, there are always other jobs!

swallow your pride call and ask what you could do better.
they should have told you given you chance to correct before the sacking..
what sort of job was it?
were you improperly trained.?
maybe you need to get better training in something then apply yourself.
even a lot of persons who are developmentally delayed are successful at the correct job with the correct training and supports..
and you don't sound delayed.
so there is plenty of hope.
maybe you were just doing the wrong thing or for the wrong boss.
do a career assessment course. and find where you do have skill. everyone has something.
or did you just need a kick in the pants because you didn't try?
sit down with someone you trust or go to support group and seriously assess what happened and why. then figure wher you need to be and how to repair.
good luck!

When people go to work, about 80% of them do as they are asked and no more. A good employee does extra and in particular thinks hard about what is actually needed. You probably fell into the first category. Get a new job, and put your heart and soul into it. Try to get promoted. Go the extra mile; do some unpaid overtime. Try to make it fun and interesting.

You could try looking at it positively, for it actually is a positive thing. You probably didn't particularly enjoy the work anyway, and this is an opportunity for you to reflect on what you want to do, what you like to do, and take steps to improve your worklife for the future. Do not be tempted to feel like a victim - you are in control of your life, and you can achieve more than you currently think.....

you can not go backwards, only forwards.
Pick yourself up, and in your mind, review whether you
made any mistakes or misrepresentations, etc. on that
job. Learn from your mistakes so the next job will be
better for you. Go out there and get another job and
do not let bad judgment get in your way.
