Oh yeah. I got a mail-order catalog in the mail the other week that really triggered some old memories and yearnings in me. The Uncle Wiggly game...clackers (remember those glass balls on the string you would bang together?)...Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys. Then my friend and I started remembering other things together...like rock candy...remember around Christmas when they would come out with the colored candy shapes on lollipop sticks? Then we got to talking how it's a miracle we survived...we had no carseats, no bicycle helmet or kneepads. No soft wood chips under our swing sets or jungle gyms...we had concrete! Which reminds me...I wonder when is the last time kids played Spud or Mother May I? Oh yeah...I miss those good ol' days!

These are the good old days! [was that Carly Simon?]
My real answer:
Yes, I sure do. I'm 48 and I've already survived cancer. I'm wondering what percentage of my life is gone. I do not have longevity on either side of the family as it is. [and there was NO previous cancer in the family] I don't obsess about it, but I think about missed opportunities or bad decisions. I think of the good times too, and the people I miss, who have already left this life.

Yeah, all the time. But for me the "good old days" were when I was about 3 years old and life consisted of waking up, hanging out with my mom and brother in my pajamas, and watching Rainbow Brite. Oh, how I miss those days...

Yes – just yesterday I had a nice sit down with my memories of My Little Pony. Which brought on thoughts of the Fraggles and Gummi Bears. Gummi juice - hop along, you are strong. Good stuff.
