Hi,

I am looking for acting classes for adults. something that is chaep and also provide classes on a saturday. Nothing that requires handing in essays and nothing that consists of longer than a year.

I have looked everywhere and Silvia young only cater for children.
I am looking for a drama company that enables you to inpove of present acting skills to apply for professional auditions for tlevision programmes.

I am also a student so something on the weekeknd would be grate.


any advice is welcome

I live in london, sorry i forgot to mention that. I have nearly completed a write & media Degree so dont want to go for something that is longer than a year.

You did not mention where you are, so I did a general search on Acting Classes. There are a lot of sites on the web.

If you have no previous professional experience then a weekend drama class will not qualify you to apply for professional auditions. The majority of auditions are "closed shop" and application is made by an agent on your behalf. An agent is unlikely to represent you without an equity card and NCDT training. Send off for some prospectuses from some of the accredited drama schools and look to apply once you have completed your studies.

Take an improv class if you can. I don't know where you are, but if around Chicago, go to The Second City...that's one of the places I trained.

Do you have a local Community College near by?? That might be your answer. Their classes are good and inexpensive. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!
