I had one of my answers removed from here because it "Insulted Other Participants". This is the question and my answer.........

Question: How come the only countries who have stopped poverty have done this through hard work, not charity/aid?

Deleted Answer: ......more to the point why are giving away money to them when most some are in debt to us and we could use it kick out asylum seekers & then get English people jobs in England!! and stop all these bums who can't be arsed to work so they claim loads of benefits!

Now I believe that the tax-payers money should not be spent paying for people that cannot be arsed to work, some people are legitimately incapable of working and would give anything to work, and by all means should get benefits - but not the people who expect the tax-payer to pay for them! So a few questions....

How is this not freedom of speech?
Who on here is genuinely insulted by this?
Who on here agrees with me?

........yes i have Otter.......and the Convention states (i'm not sure which one to be honest)..........that "someone who could risk torture, death, imprisonment or other forms of persecution in their home country" may seek asylum in the first safe country that they flee to..........

Have you noticed WE ARE AN ISLAND!!!!!

.......meaning that they have to come through France, and the likes, to get to us - because they know that the Labour Government are mugs and will give them loads of money and houses and whatever the hell they want.

Secondly.........even half the ones that legally go through the process and are then not granted asylum - dont get deported, so they just stay here illegally.

........I have no problem with people that come here and work legally an honest job and pay their taxes etc.......

Just mainly the people who try to seek asylum in our country - when it is clearly not the first country they go to - and also people who are too lazy to get a job and just claim benefits all their life.

Your answer was deleted because it is stupid, badly informed, extreme right wing opinion that all asylum seekers are free loaders.

The question did not mention asylum seekers, or benefit fraud.

Would like to see what you would do if you came from a dictatorship where people were slaughtered because of their beliefs and you were in danger.

Would you run to a country where asylum was offered? Of course you would.

The UK has always been a land of hope for those who suffer under the reign of terror in their home countries.

You mention "taxpayers" money, well, taxpayers' money is a drop in the ocean compared with a country's expenditure, the tax that you pay is not used to pay benefit for asylum seekers.
The money most probably comes form the over charged interest that the British government extorts from third world countries. So, in a way, it's their money anyway.

We can see that you have never left England, other than for a two week package holiday to Lloret del mar, and your view of the world is narrow, to say the least.

I would say that your answer was deleted because it certainly did not contain anything interesting, knowledgeable, intelligent or even funny.

Go back to reading the Sun, watching Sky or whatever other Murdoch based activity you enjoy, and try to get an informed and educated view of world economics and migratory habits.

I do not agree with you. Most of the immigrants I have met as willing to work harder than the locals, and for less money. They are not bums. Many of them, especially from Eastern Europe, have higher qualifications than you or I. For the first two years in this country they are not allowed to claim any benefit, although they pay taxes here.

I do defend, however, your right to freedom of speech. It is only by having debates such as this that error can be corrected. If you are suppressed, then your views do not go away, they merely go underground.

Have you ever taken the time to find out what exactly an asylum seeker is before making sweeping statements like "kick them out and get English people jobs in England"?

Well... this is the United Nations definition of a refugee (which is what an asylum seeker is effectively seeking to become) : "someone who, owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality, and is unable to or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country".

In other words someone who could risk torture, death, imprisonment or other forms of persecution in their home country, and therefore seeks help from a more "humane" country like ours.

The problem is that when they get here they come across small minded people like you who would happily throw them back where they came from without actually understanding where they come from and why.

Would you REALLY prefer to be responsable for sending someone to torture and/or death? Do you REALLY think that asylum seekers should be kicked out just like that?

Please take the time to think more before spouting sh*t.

The problem is partly what you say but mostly the way you say it?

Freedom is abused by people who think they can trample all over other peoples freedom.By all means raise questions but your Daily Mailesque rant was so filled with generalization and illinformed bigotry that it deserved to be removed.Do you intend to repatriate all the English people working abroad as well and deny them the right to improve their lives ?Didn't think so!

Personally I'm not offending, but that doesn't excuse the fact what you are spouting is narrowminded and ill educated right wing propoganda and rhetoric. If you can't see that for yourself then you've got some BIG problems.

This must have been reported by an asylum seeker, because me and the rest of England are backing you 100%...You are fully in the right, and freedom of speech is what makes us who we are!

It sounds right to me. I'm not insulted but then again I'm not freeloading. I don't think freedom of speech applies to yahoo answers and questions. They delete anything they want or anything someone who has a beef with you wants.
