A couple of days ago was the soft release date. The hard date is Dec 2nd.

Where have you been, or better yet, were you paying attention to the PS3 only? The Wii already hit stores on November 19 of this year! Go to Wikipedia and look at the Wii release dates for each country.

UK realease date is 8th December. Loads of place taking pre-orders aleady though.
