What makes my CPU usage 100?

In the task manager sort the view by CPU. Once you do that, see what the program is that is using the most CPU and end the task. You might just be running too many applications. Dont ever let somone tell you that you have a virus without checking into it first. Only a rookie would tell you that.

with combined key operation of cntrl+alt+del take task manager , check out which are all the running pro grammes , and learn which one does tax the cpu more checking cpu usage and graphs

I see that Windows Media Player is taking up a lot of that, and the rest is taken up by "svchost". Svchost can run a lot of stuff, so running a free virus scanner might be a good idea.

when you check the cpu usage
ignore system idle process it's supposed to run high
but look at everything else

Your computer is probably fast and theres no program running.
