The white pill is a generic so only the pharmacist where it was purchased will be able to positively identify it but it almost certainly is the antibiotic as the medications for bladder spasm are dark in color and indeed they discolor the urine. There is no way to know how often to take the antibiotic without knowing the name and dose - do you recall how often you took it before? The medication for bladder spasm is taken every 4 hours.

The pill to "clear up" the bladder infection from last time is not going to help you in this case. It's most likely an antibiotic and when you're prescribed antibiotics you need to take ALL the medication in order for it to completely treat the problem. You may have a recurrence from the initial infection. It might have seemed to get better but when you stopped taking the antibiotics early the bacteria causing it was able to replicate back to a level that showed signs of infection. You need to get another course of antibiotics from your care provider and completely finish them this time. The reason we are seeing organisms that are becoming resistant to certain antibiotics is because people don't finish the entire regimen of antibiotics so it just hurts the organisms but doesn't kill them. You definitely need to go see your health care provider for a new prescription. Also, a side question, do you wipe from front-to-back? That will help reduce your risk of bladder infection because you won't be introducing bacteria to your urethra from your rectum.

Go to the library and look in the Merck Manual or PDR. They have pictures and descriptions of all drugs.
But more important, don't take left over meds. When you were given antibiotics, you should have taken them until they were gone. This is most likely the reason your infection came back. Even if you feel better, it is essential to finish a course of antibiotics.
To help prevent bladder infections:
Urinate before and after sex.
Drink plenty of water.
Drink cranberry juice. It has antioxidants, boosts immunity, and makes it hard for bacteria to stick to the bladder walls.

you should go back to the dr anyway...repeat bladder infections can cause other problems...you need to discuss with your dr maybe some preventitive measures so that you dont get repeat infections..you probably dont have enough medicine to do you any good anyway...and if you take it and dont completely get rid of the infection..the bacteria becomes resistant to that antibiotic..then you will eventually have very few options for treatment

Keep away those bladder infections by:- Urinate as soon as you feel the need to go. It doesnt do your bladder any good to hold yourself. Drink plenty of water daily and drinking cranberry juice is very good too

Go and see your doctor - do not take anything until he has examined you - also together with what your doctor gives you - cranberry juice is excellent for aiding with bladder infections - but you must see your doctor also. Good luck :-)

With the same words you put in your question, call the pharmacist and ask them. Don't take any info from ANYONE on here about taking meds.
Best of luck!
