To keep men guessing and interested

2006-11-22 01:31:50 · answer #1 · answered by Zoey 5 · 1 0

Believe me, men are equally mind-boggling to women. Well, maybe not equally, but . . . OK, so I admit it; we're harder to figure out. Now, some would say that's because we are smarter, but that's nonsense. Men are really very smart, some of them, and I'd even stipulate that the odds are in their favor. They did, after all, most likely design the IQ tests involved.

But anyway.

Men and women are different all the way up and down the line. We are of the same species, but the two genders are different in ways most people do not like to think about.

For example, you do realize that we are different at the very cellular level, and the biochemical (hormones and their complex interactions with other chemistry and electro-chemical functions of the brain), and most certainly in the cultural level.

We have differently shaped muscles, with different areas of the body emphasized, and mostly around reproduction, where we really don't want to minimize the differences.

Because of all of the above, we have had different cultural settings since time began. It's perfectly natural, we all know that, and yet we all want to maximize our options. In the 21st century, it is possible to maximize quite a few options. But the physical facts of who we are remain.

We are mind-boggling because we are not only mysterious, we are important. Quantum mechanics may be too much for you to understand, but if you don't need it, you don't much care.

You need us.

Their perspective, experiences and lives contain elements that you cannot even comprehend. This, combined with heightened allowable emotional levels and a soup of ever-changing hormones makes for an operating system that is... um...

Unique! Yeah! Let's go with 'unique', so I'm not hunted down to die like the sexist pig I probably am.

Pregnancy, giving birth, the vulnerability that these things bring, the need to attract the best set of male genes and skills (this would be you, if you're lucky), the competition with other women for these things... are what you will never have to deal with, have never considered and do not color your every move.

There is a lot more to it than this, societal conditioning, traditional roles, etc., but I'm just a guy, not an anthropologist/ biometrician/ whatever.

I hate to fuel the "sex" fire, but, in general, men have it easy.

Keep quiet and try not to look smug.

Best wishes!

Well I don't think that women are mind boggling or complex, it could be that you are not trying to understand a woman.Try to see things from her point of view. Step back and take a breath, then see what you come up with.

I believe that it's because women have millions more neural connections between both halves of their brains than men do. Based on science, not my opinion.

Learn a bit about humanity, learn about your mind, women will not seem so complex; they are as much a part of us as we are of them.

Good luck!
