ive been using it for a long time and ive never had a perd and a few days ago i started bleeding has anyone else had that happin should i see my doctor or does it just normal

might just be stress.....but you might want to see a doc and if you're under the age of 25 you might want to have a bone density scan as the shot has been know to deplete bone density which can lead to osteoporosis later in life...younger women tend to make up the bone density if they go off the shot..but older ladies tend to loose it for good.....hope that's a bit of a help....

Depo Provera injections may lead to no menstrual cycles or they may cause irregular bleeding so some irregularity in bleeding is common. If this has just begun there is no need to go to your physician but if it continues or gets worse they you need to be evaluated. Another thought - the injection is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy so if you have any symptoms suggestive of this (nausea, weight gain, sore breasts) you should do a home pregnancy test - they are very accurate.

Irregular, heavy, or no bleeding are common side effects of Depo Provera.

I would see your Dr. if you are talking about the Depo shot. I was on it for years and never had a period or bleed.

When I was on it, I spotted for 3 months, then missed a few periods, then my periods got really heavy. So it sounds normal to me.

See your doctor immediately. When it happened to me, it was a miscarriage.
