I reported some one for spam and advertising and I asked a question asking if anyone else was annoyed by this person. I cut and pasted the persons message and used it in my question as proff it was happeneing.
Then I got reported for spam and advertising even though they weren't my words. !!!!!

How unfair is that ??

This site is full of idiots who can barely read, much less compose a decent question. Don't feel bad, just remember you are smarter than them.

I think that is unfair. I did something similar and my whole entire question was taken off. I received an email claiming that I performed an act that had to be removed as a question. They stated that I was personally seeking this person out and making comments about their spam. I was just perturbed that it was ok that they sent me info but when I sent it back out, I get repremanded for it.

I don't think that yahoo actually reads the things being reported, they just get the report and yank it. It's a little ridiculous at times!

At least you weren't kicked out. Probably the person that reported you was the one in your question.

Don't feel bad. I got reported for answering a question (reason given, was neither a question or an answer) (WTF). Guess the individual didn't care for my answer. I appealed it but don't expect anything to come from it. Just take it with a grain of salt considering the source.

That's pretty terrible! They should have caught that before reporting you. Can they not read?
