has anyone had problems with these battery packs, after i put it on the base the first time and let it charge, it worked fine....but when i finished playing a game and turned off the controller i noticed that the 4 on the controller was still lightly green, i took out the batter pack and put it back all green light were off on the controller so i thought, got up the next day and the light was light green on the number 4 area and battery almost dead. does anyone know why its not completely turning off? is it defective and should i take it back?

when i used regular batteries it never did have any type of glow when turned off

I have heard of this problem, too. Take it back and do like I did and get your own batteries and charger, that worked for me although I never got the recharge pack from microsoft.

it's a design thing. all wireless controllers have the faint glow around the guide button. but the battery shouldn't be dead, though.
