I just wanted to know what Gandhi generally did. Was he a peace keeper? A cultural leader? Thanks so much for your help!

Gandhi lead a number of passive resistance revolts against the British goverment in India. His most famous was against the salt tax by walking to the sea and teaching how to make salt. His passive resistance revolts lead to the British turn over the goverment to the Indian people.

Gandhi was a lawyer by profession and he believed in equality of human beings whatever be their cast,creed, co lour or religion. he believed in dignity of lab our. he believed that all men are born equal and deserve to live that way
he spoke up against all practices that went against these basic doctrines. by bringing down the concept of freedom to the individual, he inspired the people of india to fight for the freedom of their country from the british. since freedom is our birthright he inspired the people to claim it in a peaceful, non-violent manner.
he was an exemplary human being and embodied the hopes of the ordinary individual.

Gandhi was a Freedom fighter.He fights against British for India's freedom "Satiyagira"was his main weapon.Satiyagira means fighting without violence.
