Ok, I've got a 1994 Chrysler LHS that needs the ignition switch replaced and rather than do something dumb like tearing up the key cylinder mechanism and the likes I thought I'd ask for a little info on how to get that puppy out. Used to be turn the key to accessories and insert a paperclip through a small hole in the lock cylinder but no such luck here. Any help out there?

are you replacing entire switch? if so, then you have to remove plastic cover around the switch. A couple screw under side of cover need to be remove then remove anything else in the way to see two bolt holding switch. if bolt don't have any head on it then you have to drill it out.

Gold keys are dummy keys as stated - take the gold key along with the original key to any ACE Hardware - have them make a new key with the OLD resistor value but cut to match the NEW dummy key. $25 per key.
