It seems that most men who beat their wives usually would back down when a man of their size stands up to them. Are most of these men cowards who simply beat on those they can, but not on those who are equal to them?

men who beat both physically and emotionally need to be in control at all times, when someone questions them, or fails to perform as they want, they feel as if they are loosing control, and beat those who disagree or challange them. they are ususally men who have no self worth, or power. they pick on weaker people, but if the weak person challanges them or their authority in any way that's when the abuse starts. they want a person to be perfect in every way, their concept of perfect, if they are let down they seem to react with abuse.

i grew up watching my @sshole of a dad beat the crap out of my mom. She finally got the courage to leave him and the person we lived with was an old high school friend which was a guy. well after lot's of therapy my dad finally convinced my mom to come back. Here is the kicker, my dad is a fighter and he never backs down from a fight and he is this skinny little thing and he came across the guy who took us in, who is way bigger then my dad and my crappy father beat the sh!t out of him. so men who beat there wives don't just beat them b/c they are the only ones that they can beat down. men who do this are low life pieces of crap who don't deserve to walk the face of the earth. my dad may have never hit my mom after she went back to him but then he started verbally abusing her. he is sh!t and that is all he will ever be...

If a man beats a woman she needs to remove herself and her children (if any) from the situation ASAP! No excuses.
Move on. And yes, they are insecure cowards, certainly not men.

That is my view. Most men who will hit a woman or be abusive to an animal are nothing but cowards, and bully. If a man beat their butts they would coware away.

insecure in life ,social , employment , sexuel ,i imagine they can't really deal with a guy there own size ,and have never tried knowing they would FAIL in a fair fight and any guys who answer this that beat there wives for some other imagined reason email me i'll fly out there some time and prove it ,,,men who beat woman have REAL problems with there manhood (think about this while you look in the mirror & down at wife beaters )

I wouldn't say cowards as such, but power tripping control freaks, not to mention big babies, if something doesn't go how they want it to they have a tantrum and lash out, I know that some women are like this also, its not just a man thing.
People like this are just bullies through and through, and need to seek help for I do believe that they are not all there upstairs.

well partly I think, they are cowards.
But there are some crazy women too, my brother is stuck with a women (yes stuck because he couldn't wait to have his baby), This women is insane and I'm afraid of her, she asked me what I ate for dinner, I politely responding "You don't have to worry I took care of it" And she bursted out in anger and yelling, Ive seen her do a lot more then that too, so who ever does stuff like that are usually have some kind of thing going on in there brain and shouldn't be in a relationship.

It's about power, and taking out frustration on someone weaker. So yeah, if someone of equal or bigger size show up, these dogs will cower down.
They get scared because the mind games that worked on their wives does not work on stronger people

purely because of the fact somebody says they jumped off a bridge and have been given run over via a motor boat and nonetheless lived to tell the story without broken bones, does it mean it rather is real? I doubt it..... the sole adult men that beat up their better halves are loopy non-islamic adult men. and the sole real adult men that hit their better halves are those that have donkeys as better halves. asserting arab adult men is an exceedingly enormous generalization. i recognize for a certainty that individuals abuse their spouses and teenagers ten or a hundred circumstances extra effective than arabs. and that's a certainty!

I believe you are correct, yes. Men who hit their wives or girlfriends aren't men at all. If I had a daughter or sister and her husband hit her, I'd pay him a visit with a Louisville Slugger in hand. He'd remember it for a long time.
