sounds like it, although sometimes you can loose your plug and cramp for a week or more before labor actually starts. call your dr sweetie.

i'm sorry, i know the home stretch is umcomfortable. it's better that you're as dilated as possible before labor starts, it'll usually go faster that way. the mucous plus can regenerate, and you can lose pieces over a span of weeks, so unfourtunately that doesn't signal much. you may be having braxton hicks contractions. if the cramping increases and you can't speak while cramping, it's probably the real thing. i was able to walk all through my labor, but when the contractions hit i couldn't talk.
i'd say try and put your feet up and rest as much as possible. if you want to get things started, i'd recommend walking and sex. sperms softens the cervix, and if the baby's not ready it won't come, but sex helps prepare your body for labor. also, i highly recommend the birthing ball for labor, mine was a lifesaver, it made the contractions more managable. i went completely natural, and it's important to try and stay as relaxed as possible.

Ummm ....... I went 2 weeks after loosing my plug! I cramped a little! You can stay dialated at 1 cm for 3-4 more weeks! I think you are ok for now but if you are nervous then call your doctor and ask him what he thinks! Thats what they are there for! Good Luck with everything!

When i had my 3 kids, that was the first sign i was starting labor (losing my mucus plug). It shouldnt be that much longer and your little one will be here..Take it easy and get lots of rest, you'll need it for delivery. Congradulations!!

I hate to depress you yet...my toddler began to drop at 32 wks, i began dropping my mucus plug at approximately 33 wks and that i'm now 38 wks and nonetheless nothin yet a bunch of sharp pains and braxton hicks :) those darn infants are good at getting our hopes up and making us wait it out. it rather is annoying to assert nonetheless, some human beings lose their mucus plug and flow interior some hours and a few lose it weeks and weeks till now delivery. good success!

I think you are already in labor. Do not be afraid to ask your midwife or Doctor any questions you may have. They are there to help you and your baby. All the best.
