Hello! I have sent a package through the US postal service global express mail. I sent it yesterday around 12 noon. Supposedly, it takes 3-5 days for the package to arrive to its destination. However, with global express you receive a tracking number and can look it up over the internet. But, it has been nearly 24 hours after I sent the package, and the USPS site says that the tracking number reveals there is no record of this item. Should I be worried? Is this typical? How long does it take the USPS to post a record of the tracking code of the item on their internet site? thanks in advance!

THe package will be scanned at the receiving destination and then the information is downloaded into the system that night. This is why they say 3-5 days.

they say usually by evening they will have some information and you can start to track it. I have checked packages at 24 hours +- and the info has always been there. you may want to call the USPS and see what's up. although maybe it takes longer with global express.

Did you try putting a upper case c behind the letter R at the beginning?
