No. It's high time these "famous" people get the message that they can't spout off and highly insult people and then give a ton of reasons why they did it and expect to be forgiven. The Chinese say, "Never ruin a good apology with poor excuses".

I think the fact that he went back to do another gig the night after the incident indicates that he was not sorry. They gave him an opportunity to redeem himself and he completely ignored it. So no, I don't think the apology on Letterman was good enough.

Was Mel Gibson's apology good enough?
Let's see if Michael Richards is ran through the mud for weeks by the media as Mel was.
Hmmm look like all attention is off him already.

Everyone is missing the point of Micheal Richard's N1@@ER OUTBURST. You see, he is a has been and needed the free publicity that would definitely come as a result of his outburst. Its a shame that someone had to be the object of that outburst. But let's face it, Janet Jackson did not see a boost in her career after that Superbowl titty slip in Houston. I mean she still can't sing. eVEN ON sEINFELD, YOU RARELY SAW BLACK PEOPLE AND WHEN YOU DID, IT WAS IN VERY SMALL ROLES. Jerry Seinfeld seemed more in support of "Kramer". Not in shock like most people seem to have been.

I would've felt better if he apologized to the crowd at the comedy club and the club owners for that outburst which happened to not be part of his show. As for him ranting he is not a racist, naw I don't really believe him. He had a better chance for me accepting that speech with him apologizing and addressing those customers at that club, then I would've beleived him because he completely ruined some people's night. He only apologized for political reasons, and he mostly is sorry for embarrassing himself, not for what he said and how he interrupted some people's night out.

Nope. It didn't seem sincere. He was just apologizing to make up for his last 15 minutes of fame. I didn't really know the guy (except he was on "Seinfeld"), but whenever anybody says anything racist, or makes any racist jokes, I immediately lose all my respect for them. There's no excuse for anybody to be spreading hate like that. But, no, his apology wasn't sincere and he's a wash up because of what he did.

If he was sincere, yes, but his actions in the future willl say for sure. Most all comedians use profanity and vulgar acts in their routines. People seem to accept these as funny. But utter a racial slur in a moment of anger and you are condemed. I am not saying what he did is right, but I think everyone in a moment of anger has either thought or said something of the same nature. Forgive, forget, and learn from it.

Well, he seemed very upset and sorry for what he did...then again he is an actor. How do we really know if he means it.In anycase, it was strange and the audience was laughing and they are stupid and immature. So, I'm hoping that he really means it, and if he does, I'd say it was a good apology.

No not at all. He went a little to far. He lost a lot of respect from a lot of people.
