I like your idea. Otherwise, just give it to a charity shop.

Hmmm ... tricky one...I sympathise! To destroy it does seem to me to make the animal's deaths seem doubly empty, but it's not easy to find an appropriate use for it...If it seems like you could get alot of money for it, I'd sell it and give the money to a small animal charity that really needs it. Or you could find a very poor old person who is struggling to heat their home and see if they'd use it as a blanket, as fur is extremely warm, and it could help them for many years. I would suggest any helpful, moral use is OK, and better than nothing. Tricky, though!! Good luck.

When I inherited a few fur coats I contacted a charity that makes fur coats that are unwanted into teddy bears. You could then keep these bears yourself and pass them down as family hierlooms, or sell the bears and give the money to an animal foundation of some sort :)

I would either donate it to a charity or give it to a someone who both needs a coat and would wear fur. The animals are already dead, it's a done deal, but there are too many people going cold every Winter to just trash it. I wouldn't wear it, either, but if someone in a bad place would because they need to, I'd have no problem with it.

Good idea. Sell it and donate the proceeds. That way you are helping animals and making sure that someone who wants a fur coat is not encouraging the fur trade by buying a new one.

I would burn it personally.
If you sell it or give it away then you are in a way supplying these vain morons with the very thing that we are trying to protest against.
But on the other side I suppose selling and giving the money to an animal charity would be a nice idea its up to you.
I would nt want to play a part in these coats been worn at all.

Really good idea!
Put it on ebay and put a high reserve price on it! Try to get as much money as possible for it then donate all proceeds to an animal charity.

Keep it. Just don't wear it, and then you are not being seen as encouraging it. If you give it away or sell it someone will wear it and show the world that this is acceptable.
Unfortunately you can't give it back to its owner, and it is an inherited one, so there's no other ethical dilema or contradiction for you.
Bless you for caring.

There should be a charity that would take it and use it - they can be useful in third world countries where it is hot during the day but can get very cold at night.
