Afrikann is also called the Taal, an official language of South Africa, developed out of the speech of 17th-century settlers from Holland and still very like Dutch. In addition the word Afrikaans can be used as an adjective in which case it means "of or pertaining to Afrikaans or Afrikaners."

Love your question.
Don't know exactly what you mean:
Africans are people living in Africa
The word AFRIKAANS, refers to a language spoken mostly by South Africans. Making it one of the 9 official South African languages. Although neighboring countries like Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana also have Afrikaans speaking people. It's a language developed out of Nederlands. In fact it sounds a lot like Nederlands with a little twist, many of the words are also directly translated from English.
I'm a born Afrikaner. If your interested in the language try looking up 'boere' or 'whites' in South Africa.
Check out this site, it explains everything http://www.ned.univie.ac.at/publicaties/taalgeschiedenis/en/afrikaans.htm
Let me teach you some Afrikaans words:
I Love you - Ek het jou lief
Good morning - Goeie more
South Africa is a rainbow nation - Suid Afrika is 'n reënboog nasie

Afrikaans is an official language of the Republic of South Africa, related to Flemish and Dutch
OR
It's "belonging or relating to white people of South Africa whose ancestors were Dutch or to their language"
The people are often called 'Afrikaners' I believe.
