Completely depends on where you live and how you like to live.

Phoenix Metro is a city and if you like city-life, it's nice, but the summers are so damn hot that you hardly go outside, even to swim. But the other six months of the year are nice! Crime is sickening, but like any other big city.

Tucson - is more laid back and beautiful/scenic, not much to do if you like the hussle and bussle of the city. The people are very very friendly. And it's kinda a cozy college town. Weather is mild and not as hot as Phoenix.

Both Tucson and Phoenix offer Rocky Point, Mexico as a nice little vacation spot (meaning you can drive there yourself)

Northern Arizona - I've only visited and it's beautiful. Kinda country-ish but you have seasons (it snows in winter).

I liked it when I lived in Tucson, but I'm not a big city girl, so it worked for me.

I hope you enjoy it.

I guess it depends on who you ask, but I lived there (in Phoenix) for three years and I thought it was miserable. Yeah the weather during the winter is great, but the summers suck big time. 105-110 degrees, then it doesn't even cool off at night. There isn't any trees for shade, you can't get away from the heat.
