The teacher has chosen this area. the investigation must be about something like conformity and or bystander behaviour.

example investigation: 'sweet jar'

You know.. I do not understand the question. If you are going to enter into social psychology at the Universityi, the coursework is laid out for you.. You will be required to take certain courses and any FEW slideline courses or electives will be minimal

Are you asking about a topic for a project? How about doing a project about diversity issues. Maybe you could show both sides of the argument with something like Affirmative Action. That's a controversial one, so it's guaranteed to not be too boring.

Another topic you could do a project on would be something about how socioeconomic status has an effect on academic performance. This one could possibly be boring, especially if you focus too much on statistics. A way to make it interresting would be to wirte a "story," narrated by a kid living in the ghetto who is friends with a kid living in the suburbs.

You could also do something about "diffusion of responsiblity" and discuss the reason why people wait, sometimes for hours, broke down on the side of the road, for some generous soul to stop and offer them assistance.

Or, you could discuss the behavior of individuals in a collectiveist society (asian) versus those in an individualist society (usa).

SInce I am not realy sure what you are asking for, that's the best I can do. I hope that this helps you in some way. I loved taking social psychology,

Do something on prejudice reduction. That always goes down well...or just dump social psychology all together, and do something sensible and congitive based.
