Kelly is a "poor little rich girl" and will do most anything to upstage someone so she's in the limelight.

The point isn't that she thinks she is that cute...it is simply that Clay was a GUEST on her show and he should've shown some respect in lieu of that...yes, Kelly did do the same thing to Regis a couple years back, but they are on an equal billing on the show...and for Rosie to call this 'homophobic" is ridiculous! First of all, Clay hasn't made his sexuality clear to anyone and if anyone is in the wrong, it should be Rosie for opening her mouth when she should've just let those two battle it out alone.....

First of all, Rosie called her out by claiming that was a homophobic response on Kelly's part. I would have said the same thing if someone tried to put their hand over my mouth. Yes, Kelly does get carried away but that's why she was chosen. Remember Cathy Lee Gifford? Clay is a big cry baby who should not be in tv if he can't handle the heat. Thank you.

I don't think she was wrong. She did not try to ruin his career by saying, "That's a no no. I don't know where your hands have been."
Geez, I think the homophobic card is being played too much. It's getting like the race card.
It's liberal media that is trying to take down Kelly, not the other way around and it sure is obvious. Especially with Rosie's comments on the View.

Rosie O'Donnell should mind her own damn business!!! It's her fault if a big deal was made. She's ruining his carreer!!! Kelly Ripa may be a spoiled little brat but Rosie needs to learn when to shut up!! It's not all about homosexuality!

I admit I get sick of seeing Kelly drape herself all over Regis. You are correct that she could have handled the situation with a lot more tact. As a nurse, I am well aware of the germs on a person's hands especially after shaking hands with a lot of people. He didn't have to turn it into a whole homophobic thing, though. I think the wrong was about a 80/20 split.

I only watch clips so I didn't see the entire show but from what everyone else says, and what I seen it does seem like Kelly needs to grow up. I would've told him to never put his hand over my mouth again because people are gross and she don't know where his hands been, so I would've been upset about that, but that could've been handled after the show, not by embarrassing yourself on National TV whining like a brat. I was embarrassed for her, all what she did was unecessary and she proved the men's point of view about us women being drama queens, she embarrassed herself, the show, and women. Clay was wrong though and I'm quite sure he was taught to keep his hands to himself...

Yes, she acts very childishly and appeared to be on a power trip on MOnday show. Who wants to turn on the TV to hear this woman going on and on about her personal vendetta? Regis looked damn uncomfortable. He even sighed loudly at some point.
