a dog barks, can bite/loving affectionate, protective.
a cat scratches people and furniture, scratches and bites, sometimes without warning/provides companionship, not necessarily as clingy as dogs.
birds make messes/'/sings, raises spirits
amphibian can carry disease, little need to hold, pet, etc.
fish must clean bowl or tank. Are fun to watch, relaxing as well.
invertebrates No affection or interaction. Give us something to do. In case of earthworms, aerate the soil, provide casings for fertiliser, and fish bait, if one is cruel enough to use them.
small mammals must clean cages, can become lost. Limited affection/Are fun to cuddle and watch playing.

a dog is a good friend but needs to be looked after.
Sinilar with a cat though more independent.
Birds should not be pets. They should be free to fly all over that is why they have wings.
Fish tanks require alot of care. They tend to get quite dirty.
With regards to ambhibians and invertebrates. Are they not considered preserved species.
Small mammals such as hamsters are good but they do not live as long as a cat or dog

A bad and good reason for these livestock:
a dog

Bad for smelling, drooling, costing you a fortune when you go on holiday, barking and fouling the streets.
Good in a stir fry.

a cat

Bad for looking at you like you're a fool when you call it, eating your food and scratching your furniture.
Good in a stir fry.

birds

Bad for waking you in the early hours when your child has just gone to sleep and you've got a hellish day at work the next day, and crapping all over your car

Good in pies.

amphibian

Good for eating the household pests.
Bad for wanting to eat you.

fish

Good for nothing. Except eating.

invertabrates

Good for creeping you out. And spoiling your food.

small mammals

Great for squashing and spreading disease. This can be bad too.

A dog - your best friend but chews the house up
A cat - cute and furry but too independant
Birds - beautiful song and flight but a mess if you park your car under nesting tree
Amphibian - Can breath both under water and on land - in Africa to have an amphibian in your house is considered evil
Invertebrates - very agile and mobile, the most poisonous animals belong to this class
Small mammals cute and furry inquisitive but can chew your house to pieces if bored.

dog - good company - needs lot of attention and walking

cat - friendly - prone to disappearing without a trace

bird - look pretty - make lots of noise and mess and keeping them in a cage is not fair

fish/amphibian/invertebrates - interesting to have - don't do much and need lots of cleaning out.

small mammals - cute and cuddly - don't live very long

it really depends on you, because all animals have different levels of care
I.e. a tarantula needs to be fed couple times a week rarely needs clearing out does not need exercise can pretty much look after itself..
rats need companionship and need to cleaned out weekly need regular feeding and should be let out at least an hour a day.

cats need to be fed daily, let in and out, vet bills complanionship.

dogs, need to be fed daily, walked a couple times a day, vet bills need companionship.
