As a bloke, I know very little of hair straighteners, however, I did see watchdog on the BBC a few weeks ago, and they had a report on GHD hair straighteners which started fires in people's houses. Not only that, that all seemed to have a similar fault, tatyou couldn't isolate the power, and even if you thought they were turned off, they weren't! GHD don't even really make their own hair strighteners - they are made by a company who make them for most brands, from China, and you pay way over the odds just for the name!
My advice - go curly. Straightening only dries and damages your hair, and I'm sure you look great au natural!

I have some excellent Remington ones with a woven Telflon plate. Much cheaper than ghd and have everything I need. I can't understand why if ghd are so good I have never seen them used in a salon?
