Your baby could have developed an intolerance to his milk. There are a lot of different formulas of milk, and some of them have higher concentrations of iron and other nutrients. He may simply be lactose intolerant (unable to tolerate milk products.)

He could have a stomach virus, or simply need to have a different kind of formula that is more suitable to him.

At any rate, any of these things require your pediatrician's advice SOON -- babies don't have much in the way of spare nutrients and electrolytes (what makes our bodies conduct electrical impulses to our brain and other organs) so dehydration can occur quickly in infants.

Call very soon and get him to the dr. or go to the ER -- don't wait if it's your baby's health!

Are you sure it is projectile vomiting? It will spew quite a distance naturally, true projectile vomiting with shoot across the room.

If it is truly projectile, call your doctor. If it is just normal vomiting, say baby is on lap and it goes into the floor, it may be that you are overfeeding the little tike.

My son (11 weeks old) spits up quite a bit and was vomiting at least once a day, until I slowed down his feedings. I cut his nursing time down and burp him often. Still, we get spit ups, but now that he is growing the vomiting is less often.

This is serious my little girl did this exactly a projectile vomiting you need to pick up the phone and call the doctor or emergency because what will happen is your baby will dehydrate himself also try water and see if he can keep that down if you are feeding him with a bottle check the holes if they have become enlarged your boy could be ingesting too much at one time.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR NOW

my daughter did the same thing we thought it was milk products but it was not she had a flap that kept food from coming back upthat was to active the doctor gave her something to relaxe the flap before she ate and all got better we found out this is a very common problem so the doctor will know what to do in this case very easily

He may need to be changed on his formula, but I would definitely ask your Dr. There may be something else going on. With babies it is so hard to tell. I had to let my daughter set in a carrier for an hour after she ate, but she couldn't tolerate any formula. They put her on a formula that digested itself. Good Luck.

My candid advice is that you take the fine baby to the Doctor for a proper check-up and necessary attention.
